Hallo - Namaste!
My name is Michaela, and I have been teaching yoga with great passion since December 2024. My very first yoga experience was about 15 years ago, when a friend invited me to join her class. Out of curiosity I agreed – and was amazed afterwards: I felt balanced, relaxed, and at the same time full of energy, both in body and mind. Since then, I have continued my practice, mostly in the traditional Hatha Yoga style. Over the past few years, yoga has taken on an ever greater role in my life. Amidst the rush of daily life and the world outside, yoga became a place of stillness for me – a space where I could reconnect with myself and recharge.
In 2024, a career change began to unfold – until then I had been working in international development cooperation – and with it grew the desire to dedicate myself more deeply to yoga during a sabbatical. I felt drawn to the roots of yoga in India, to explore different traditions and styles right at the source. My journey led me to Rishikesh in India, where I completed my 200-hour teacher training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa in December 2024. Enchanted and inspired by my time at the ashram, I extended my stay in Rishikesh to further train in Pre- and Postnatal Yoga (85 hours).
After my teacher training, I decided to share my passion with others. Since I still live in different places and spend time in various countries, I chose to bring my yoga offerings into the online space. In my classes, I place great emphasis on adapting the practice to individual needs – sometimes dynamic and strong, sometimes gentle and restorative, but always mindful. This way, everyone can find what feels right and supportive for them in the moment.
For me, yoga means balance: between body and mind, effort and ease, silence and movement. This balance is what I hope to share with you as well.
I look forward to welcoming you to one of my classes and walking a part of the yoga path together.
